Pontefract Collieries FC
As a football club founded in 1958 by the Coal Miners on the Prince of Wales land, the football team was a way for the workers to relax and play the beautiful game with their colleagues.
Now the football club has become an important part of the local community. We are home to more than 50 football teams, from our seniors both male and female to our academy teams to the juniors (both boys and girls) and our disability teams. One motto the club likes to stand by is #FootballForAll.
The club over the last few years has improved on its community output and look to continue close work with our local community to make Pontefract a better place for all.
Grassroots Football. At its finest.
